Maternal and Neonatal Safety
This webinar will explore key aspects of maternal and neonatal safety, focusing on evidence-based approaches to improving outcomes for mothers and babies across maternity and neonatal services.
Participants will then hear from Professor Mary Dixon-Woods, an internationally recognised expert in healthcare improvement and patient safety, who will discuss evidence-based approaches to improving safety in maternity care.
Professor Richard Green will examine the role of clinical audit, quality improvement and organisational learning in promoting safer maternity services through his presentation, Closing the Loop: Audit and Learning as a Tool for Safer Maternity Care. The webinar will then focus on neonatal care, with Dr Hana Fucikova providing an overview of the National Neonatal Transport Programme (NNTP), highlighting its role in ensuring safe and timely transfer of critically ill newborn infants.
This educational activity is designed for healthcare professionals involved in maternity, neonatal and obstetric care and aims to promote best practice, quality improvement and patient safety across the healthcare continuum.
