Dear Colleagues and Friends,
On behalf of the organising team, I am delighted to invite you to the British Orthodontic Conference 2026, taking place from Thursday 24 September to Saturday 26 September at the Brighton Centre.
Returning to Brighton feels particularly special, as the Brighton Centre is an old favourite of the British Orthodontic Society and has hosted many memorable conferences over the years. Situated on the iconic seafront, with excellent transport links and surrounded by the vibrant energy of the city, it provides the perfect setting for colleagues from across the UK and beyond to come together once again.
This year’s scientific programme features a diverse and exciting line-up of speakers covering everything from everyday clinical challenges, future innovations in orthodontics to leadership and wellbeing. We are delighted to welcome leading names from across the profession and beyond, bringing global perspectives on clinical excellence, innovation, research, patient care and holistic care of ourselves and our teams.
The popular parallel sessions return for 2026, with content designed for the whole orthodontic team, including dedicated programmes for therapists and nurses, for those wishing to join orthodontic training and those looking to build their private practice. For the first time we will be holding sessions designed specifically for our specialty trainees. Whether you are looking to deepen your clinical knowledge, explore the future of digital orthodontics, or strengthen your team’s skills, BOC 2026 offers something for everyone.
The Studio Theatres provide a more intimate learning environment, allowing delegates to engage directly with some of our key note speakers. These smaller sessions offer the chance to explore topics in greater depth, ask questions freely and critically examine the subject matter, creating a more interactive and immersive educational experience.
The Satellite Symposium sessions provide an important opportunity for our industry partners to showcase their latest innovations. They allow delegates to see and hear firsthand what is new in the market and gain insight into what the future may hold, directly from the manufacturers and providers developing these technologies. As we continue to work more closely with our exhibitors, these sessions represent a valuable collaboration, enabling companies to explain in detail how their products work and, crucially, how they can enhance patient care and improve practice efficiency and experience.
And of course, no BOC would be complete without its legendary social programme. Our welcome reception and Friday night party (both included in delegate rates!) promise to be highlights of the conference—bringing everyone together to relax, reconnect, and enjoy everything Brighton has to offer. As we take over Brighton Pier on the Friday night you can enjoy an evening of seaside food and drink, music, funfair rides and entertainment.
In an increasingly digital world it is more important than ever to step away from screens and connect with colleagues in person. Face-to-face interaction allows for deeper learning, more meaningful conversations and richer exchange of ideas than is possible through online content alone. Building strong professional relationships with colleagues and industry partners is far more effective at live events than through an inbox or virtual meeting. BOC 2026 provides a unique opportunity to learn directly from clinical experts, develop your leadership skills and gain practical insight into how to care for our own wellbeing as professionals. The BOC will also offer invaluable opportunities to network with peers, share experiences and build new connections. Delegates will leave feeling inspired, motivated and better equipped to meet the challenges awaiting them when the return to work the following week.
BOC remains the flagship event of the British Orthodontic Society, and more than ever, it serves as a vital opportunity to learn, share, and look ahead to the future of our specialty. I encourage you to keep in touch with BOC updates via our social channels, take advantage of the early-bird discount when registration opens, and be part of what promises to be another unforgettable chapter in the BOC story.
I very much look forward to welcoming you to Brighton this September and to returning together to one of BOS’s most cherished conference venues.
With best wishes,
Simon Watkinson
On behalf of the BOC 2026 Organising Team
P.S. During registration, you will again have the option to make a small donation to the British Orthodontic Society Foundation (BOSF), whose research funding underpins the continued excellence and advancement of orthodontics in the UK.
Your support makes a real difference—thank you for considering it.
