RCPI Intern Open Day 2026

The RCPI Intern Open Day is an opportunity for current interns who are interested in applying for one of our RCPI Basic Specialist Training programmes in the future.

This informative full-day event will commence in the morning with an educational section focusing on the best approach to common clinical scenarios delivered by RCPI Trainers (The Ultimate Survival Guide to Internship).

Following lunch, there will be sessions on advice for completing the application forms for the various BST programmes, including essential information about training in RCPI and a Q&A panel. There will also be the opportunity to find out more about our membership exams and the day will close with a reception for networking with senior RCPI Training Programme Directors, Trainers and Trainees.

Throughout the day, you will gain insights into successful internships and approaches to common clinical challenges through insightful talks.

You will also hear from Deans and Directors of Education & Training from the different RCPI BST training programmes including General Internal Medicine, General Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and Histopathology, as well as BST pathways to Public Health and Occupational Medicine.
