BIAN – the Banking Industry Architecture Network – brings together banks, software vendors, and service providers to define a common standard for banking technology and architecture.

BIAN provides the building blocks for a modular, interoperable banking architecture, standardising how banking capabilities and services are structured. This reduces integration complexity and cost, while giving banks greater flexibility to adopt new technologies, leverage AI, and deliver better products and experiences – faster.

As architecture becomes a critical strategic capability, the BIAN standard is a key enabler of banking modernisation, helping the industry move toward a more modular, connected, and adaptable technology ecosystem.
