Horizon Europe Research Manager Event

Overview

This event, taking place at the University of Warwick on 14 July 2026, is the first in a planned series of UK-wide Horizon Europe Research Manager events, delivered by the UK National Contact Point (NCP) network at UKRI. Future events are anticipated to take place across Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and London during 2026–2027.

The programme has been designed to strengthen institutional capability across the higher education sector, supporting universities and research organisations to increase participation in Horizon Europe and improve application success rates. Through a train-the-trainer approach, the programme aims to equip research support professionals with the knowledge, skills and confidence to act as multipliers of expertise within their institutions.

This event will bring together research support and development professionals from across the UK to explore practical approaches to supporting researchers, developing competitive proposals and embedding effective Horizon Europe support within their organisations. Sessions will cover key aspects of proposal excellence, application support and institutional best practice, alongside opportunities for discussion, networking and peer learning.

As part of the registration process, we are asking attendees to complete a short survey. The information gathered will help us better understand current strengths, challenges and development needs across the sector, enabling us to identify common themes, facilitate peer learning and ensure the programme delivers maximum value to participants.
