Registration, Access and General Information...
- I am interested in attending the Symposium. Do I need to register?
Yes, all participants, including appointed members, invited guests and side events' participants, must register via this website. Please note you must be from either NATO nations, NATO bodies, Partnership for Peace countries (PfP) or Partners across the globe. Individuals who have not received confirmation of their registration will not be granted access to the meeting premises.
- What is the difference between an appointed member, an invited guest and a side event participant?
Appointed members are participants who are already formally appointed to a NATO STO activity by their National authorities. Invited guests are individuals who are specifically invited by the respective chairs to attend certain meetings without being appointed members. Side event participants are individuals who have registered for public-facing events (such as the Research Symposiums, the Research Specialists' Meetings or the Research Workshops), and who may not be formally part of the NATO STO Community.
- I am not an appointed member of a NATO STO activity. Can I still participate Modelling and Simulation?
The general public may register to attend public-facing events, such as the Research Symposiums, the Research Specialists' Meetings or the Research Workshops, subject to nationality restrictions and security background checks.
Participation in NATO STO activity meetings requires national appointment or a specific guest invitation from the relevant Co-Chairs. The general public may not attend these meetings.
- Where will the Symposium meetings take place?
For security reasons, the exact meeting locations are not disclosed publicly, and will only be shared with approved participants.
- When and how will I receive the event's meeting schedule, General Information Package, and practical information?
Once the necessary security checks are completed and your registration is confirmed, you will receive the General Information Package (GIP), which contains all conference details, via email. Confirmed participants will also gain access to a dedicated post-registration section of this website containing agendas, practical information and relevant documents.
Registration Process
- My registration status is “pending.” What does this mean?
A “pending” status means your registration has been received and is currently undergoing the necessary validation and security checks. You will be notified by email once your registration is approved or declined. Please allow sufficient time for this process before following up.
- Can I attend multiple meetings or activities during the week?
Yes, participants may attend multiple meetings provided they are eligible for each one and their participation has been confirmed. Participants are advised to check for scheduling overlaps once the agenda is available.
- How do I modify or cancel my registration?
You can modify or cancel your registration by logging into your personal area of this website using your confirmation number:.
- Who is responsible for travel and accommodation arrangements?
Participants are fully responsible for making their own travel and accommodation arrangements. NATO STO does not handle bookings or reimbursements. General travel and accommodation advice will be provided to confirmed participants in the General Information Package for guidance purposes only.
