The National Specialty Quality Improvement Programmes Annual Conference 2026

GI Endoscopy, Bronchoscopy, Histopathology and Radiology

The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland is delighted to welcome you to the 2026 National Specialty Quality Improvement (NSQI) Programmes Annual Conference, taking place on Tuesday, the 24th of November at No.6 Kildare Street, Dublin and online.

Each year this conference brings together clinicians, who drive improvement across the four NSQI Programmes: GI Endoscopy, Histopathology, Radiology and Bronchoscopy. This day is an opportunity to engage with professionals in the field, gain insights from the national datasets, and learn from clinical audit and quality improvement projects taking place in hospitals across the country, as well as to consider together where we focus these efforts into the future.

With patient wait times and demand for diagnostic services rising, healthcare service leaders and patient partners will examine the impact on patients and how services can respond.

Presentations on the day will include:

  • National Bronchoscopy QI Programme Update
  • National Radiology QI Programme 7th National Data Report
  • National Histopathology QI Programme 13th National Data Report
  • National GI Endoscopy QI Programme 11th National Data Report
  • Healthcare Leadership Panel Discussion and Q&A
  • Chosen local QI projects, with prizes awarded for best presentation and poster.

Our shared purpose is high-quality patient care, supported by accurate data and timely diagnosis. Whether you are a long-standing participant or joining us for the first time, you are very welcome.

We hope you can join us for a day of discussion, shared learning and improvement.
