Introducing Your Speakers

Your Opening Keynote Speaker
Steve Richards
Politics, Policy & What Happens Next
We're delighted to announce and extend a warm welcome back to our Opening Keynote Speaker, Steve Richards, one of Britain's most respected political journalists, broadcaster and commentator, building a reputation for making complex political issues engaging, accessible and relevant.
With more than three decades covering Westminster, Steve brings unparalleled insight into the forces shaping government policy, political leadership and the wider economic environment.
Combining sharp analysis, humour and behind-the-scenes stories, Steve will explore the political and economic forces shaping business and what organisations should be preparing for next.
Your Closing Keynote Speaker
Bonita Norris
Adventurer, author and motivational speaker
Bonita is the youngest person ever to reach both the summit of Mount Everest and the North Pole. She did this having never climbed a mountain before the age of 20 and then reached the summit of Everest only two years later at the age of 22. This rollercoaster journey that taught her the power of taking radical responsibility - for our own mindset, for how we show up in our team and for finding the resilience to keep moving forward in life's toughest moments.
We all have mountains to climb, whether that's targets to achieve, being asked to do more with less, uncertainty to navigate or setbacks to pick ourselves up from. People are feeling overwhelmed by macro economic pressures out of their control and are losing sight of their own motivation and potential. Bonita reminds us of the power we have within ourselves to rise to challenges, energising them to claim their agency and take action.

Agenda Highlights

Let's Make Sustainability Work - BTA Planet Plan
Sustainability remains one of the biggest challenges facing travelling for work.
The issue has never been ambition; it has been implementation.
This session showcases the work of the BTA Planet Plan Council and introduces practical tools, framework and resources designed to help members take meaningful action now.
Less Theory. More Delivery.
Let's See How Risk Management Works
When disruption strikes, the value of managed travel becomes impossible to ignore.
International travel risk expert Lloyd Figgins, Founder of Trip Group, will explore the lessons learnt from recent global events and why effective travel risk management, duty of care and crisis response have never been more important.
Drawing on real-world examples and decades of experience, Lloyd will challenge you to rethink how our industry prepares for uncertainty.

Let's Make Accessibility Work
For travellers with accessibility needs, what the rest of the industry takes for granted, can involve a level of planning and ongoing uncertainty that should not exist in 2026.
This session opens with personal, first-hand accounts of what business travel actually feels like with accessibility needs and then turns to the BTA Accessibility Working Group to present the work done and the work and focus still needed.
Let's Make Distribution Work
Distribution is the issue that sits beneath almost every commercial tension in business travel.
Every Supplier has a distribution strategy. The question is whether any of them have been designed with the TMC and traveller genuinely in mind.
We place key players in the same session and ask them to be direct - what's actually happening, what's working and what needs to change.

- Headline Sponsor Keynote AddressHear from our headline sponsors - to be announced soon!
- Let's Make it Work - The Commercial RealityThe managed travel model has reinvented itself more than once in the last two decades. The question is not whether TMCs have adapted - it is whether the market has noticed, and whether the price reflects the reality.
- Let's Make Distribution WorkEvery supplier has a distribution strategy. The question is whether any of them have been designed with the TMC — and the traveller — genuinely in mind.
- Networking LunchConnect with peers over lunch and continue conversations away from the stage
- Let's Make Sustainability Work - Planet PlanThe BTA exists to make the industry work better for its members. Planet Plan is what that looks like in practice — practical tools, built by the industry, for the industry.
- Let's Make Accessibility WorkAccessibility is not a niche issue. It affects a significant proportion of every TMC's client base - and the industry's ability to serve them properly is still falling short
- Let's Make AI WorkAI will not replace TMCs. But TMCs that understand what AI can do — and what it cannot — will replace those that do not. The legal and liability picture is moving faster than most of the industry realises.
- Let's See How Risk Management Works• Lloyd Figgins Founder, Tripp GroupIn a crisis, suppliers cannot cope without TMCs. That is not a selling point — it is a fact. The Gulf conflict proved it again. The question is whether the industry remembers that lesson long enough to act on it.
