This session brings together senior executives shaping AI deployment in the Life Sciences sector, a space where risk, assurance, and operational complexity define success. Together, we will explore the barriers and emerging opportunities in scaling AI across the sector, including:
- AI for Decision Critical Systems
AI systems that inform or support consequential decisions where users must understand, justify and rely on the output before acting. This can also relate to AI decision-support tools used in regulated, professional or high-accountability settings; AI systems that help users assess options, prioritise actions, or make operational judgements and more.
- AI for Operational and Industrial Systems
AI systems embedded into live operational, industrial or asset-intensive environments where deployment depends on integration with real-world processes, systems, equipment or workflows. This can also include AI for process optimisation, production planning, scheduling, or throughput improvement. AI for predictive maintenance, asset performance, reliability or downtime reduction and beyond. (Note: Operations are the core, day-to-day activities and processes a company performs to create, market, and deliver value to customers, transforming inputs like labour and materials into finished products or services).
- AI for Compliance, Safety and Quality Systems
AI systems used to monitor, test, verify, or assure safety, quality, compliance, or risk outcomes in settings where evidence and accountability are required before adoption.
