If you do not currently reside in Canada and plan on attending WSD 2022 in person, you may need to complete a Visa application. Visa applications are presently taking a long time to process, so please be sure to complete it as soon as possible.

World Stage Design 2022 will take place at the University of Calgary.
The Organizing Committee of WSD takes the welfare of delegates seriously and supports the use of best practices regarding health measures. WSD will follow all Alberta Health requirements and all requirements directed by the University of Calgary in all instances. Individuals are encouraged to employ COVID-19 prevention mechanisms such as masking, physical distancing, and frequent handwashing.
As policies are likely to continue evolving, please be sure to check back on the University’s website periodically to ensure you are up to date.

Event D: August 6-16, 2022 – World Stage Design and CITT/ICTS Rendez-vous 2022
The International Organisation of Scenographers, Theatre Architects and Technicians (OISTAT) has chosen Calgary, Alberta, Canada as the next destination for World Stage Design (WSD2022). From August 6th to 16th, 2022 the University of Calgary’s School of Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA) with the Canadian Institute for Theatre Technology/Institut canadien des technologies scénographiques (CITT/ICTS), Canada’s OISTAT Centre, will host WSD2022. World Stage Design is an OISTAT event held every four years that is comprised of four distinct components that are presented simultaneously: International Design Exhibition and Competition, Scenofest Conference, Theatre Architecture Competition (TAC), and Technical Invention Prize (TIP). In addition to the four components of WSD, OISTAT Commission and Sub-commission Meetings and the CITT/ICTS annual trade show and conference, Rendez-vous will be on the UCalgary campus.
You will need to purchase Hybrid registration for World Stage Design 2022 in-person attendance before purchasing tickets to performances, workshops, masterclasses, or seminars. The WSD2022 Hybrid registration includes access to all exhibitions (Professional, Emerging, TAC, and TIP) plus tickets to all Talks, Lectures and Panels based venue capacity on a first come, first served basis.
Registration fees will vary.
We are not able to provide refunds; if travel becomes impossible due to Covid-19 or other circumstances, registrant will be granted full access to online activities.
All registration fees are subject to 5% Goods and Services Tax.
