The Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration will once again participate in Culture Night on 18 September by opening the doors of 51 St. Stephen’s Green to members of the public. 

The event will provide visitors with an opportunity to learn about the history of the Department through a programme of guided tours, a historical lecture and a feature of past exhibitions. 

The Department’s participation aims to increase public understanding of the Department’s role and encourage engagement with the public.

Programme Highlights

1. Justice Exhibition: Featuring content from previous exhibitions.

2. Historical Lecture: A short lecture exploring the history of the Department.  

3. Guided Building Tour: Guided tour of 51 St. Stephen’s Green including Minister’s office, Secretary General’s office and the Boardroom. 

Tours should last approximately 20 minutes.

Advance registration for tickets is essential. Spaces will be limited and made available on a first come, first served basis. There will be no places offered for walk ins.

Register early to avoid disappointment.

Please arrive with your QR code ready to display on arrival. This can be located in your email following confirmation of registration. Mandatory coat check will be in place. All items left at owner’s risk.

The following tour times are available:

1. 18:00 – 18:45
2. 18:45 – 19:30
3. 19:30 – 20:15
4. 20:15 – 21:00

Due to the remit of the Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration, strict tour conditions will be in place.

• This is a strictly ticketed only event with advance registration required.
• 1 ticket per person required.
• Please do not attend without email confirmation of registration.
• Additional attendees must be registered at time of booking (by clicking manage group) or separately themselves.
• All tickets are strictly non-transferable.
• Valid ID will be checked against tickets.
• Mandatory coat check will be in place.
• Photography and recording is strictly prohibited.
• Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled tour time.
