Welcome to BerryQuest International 2027

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to BerryQuest International 2027.

Following the tremendous success of our last BerryQuest, we have set ourselves a simple challenge for 2027: to make it bigger, better and even more valuable for everyone who attends.

BerryQuest has always been about bringing our industry together. It is an opportunity to step away from our own businesses for a few days, share knowledge and experiences, challenge the way we think and explore the innovations, technologies and ideas that will shape the future of Australian berry production.

Across four days, BerryQuest International 2027 will showcase the latest developments in innovative production systems, emerging technologies, automation, data and digital solutions, research and growing practices. We will also tackle some of the major challenges and opportunities facing our industry, including biosecurity, labour, sustainability, packaging, market development and export.

Our ambition is to make BerryQuest a place where ideas meet practical application. We want delegates to leave having seen something new, learnt something valuable or made a connection that can genuinely improve their business. Equally, we want our exhibitors and industry partners to have meaningful opportunities to demonstrate their technology, products to our vast grower network.

Our industry is changing quickly. Rising costs, labour availability, changing markets and increasing expectations around sustainability mean that continuing to do things the way we always have will not be enough. 

Innovation will be critical to improving productivity, efficiency, sustainability and, ultimately, profitability.

BerryQuest gives us the opportunity to see that innovation firsthand—to hear from the people developing it, learn from those already implementing it and have open conversations about what works, what doesn't and what might be coming next.

But above all else, BerryQuest is about people.

Some of the greatest value from BerryQuest will come from the conversations that happen beyond the formal program: between sessions, around exhibition stands, during farm visits and over a drink at the end of the day. It is a chance to reconnect with old friends, make new connections, and share ideas.
