Join us on 10 September for the Institute of Medicine Autumn Symposium, a full day of expert-led discussions, specialty updates, case-based learning and the prestigious Bryan Alton Medal Lecture.

This year's programme features presentations from leading clinicians including Prof. Karen Ryan, Prof. Garret Cullen and others, covering palliative medicine, intensive care, genitourinary medicine, gastroenterology, endocrinology and other key areas of general internal medicine.

A dedicated international session will place a spotlight on acute medicine, bringing together speakers from Ireland, the UK and the Netherlands to explore different approaches to acute medical care and training pathways. The session will feature Dr Vicky Price, Consultant in Acute Medicine in Liverpool and President of the Society for Acute Medicine, and Dr Catherine McGorrian, Consultant in Cardiology and Acute Medicine and Senior Clinical Lecturer at UCD.

Interactive Q&A sessions and panel discussions throughout the day will provide opportunities to engage with speakers and share insights with colleagues.

The symposium will conclude with the prestigious Bryan Alton Medal Lecture, delivered this year by Prof. John Crown, recognising his outstanding contribution to clinical and academic medicine.

We are delighted that this year's symposium has been approved as an official Associated Event of Ireland's Presidency of the Council of the European Union. This recognition reflects the contribution of the Institute of Medicine and RCPI to healthcare, medical education, and professional collaboration.
