This opening webinar will provide a high-level introduction to the UK Metamaterials Commercialisation Roadmap, its ambitions and the wider strategic context in which it has been developed.

Hear perspectives from across the Metamaterials Strategy Action Group on the opportunity for the UK, the priorities identified within the roadmap and the collective action needed to accelerate the translation of metamaterials research into commercial products and industrial capability.

The session will explore how the roadmap connects with the wider UK advanced materials landscape, including the National Materials Innovation Programme, which forms part of the UK government's Industrial Strategy and Advanced Manufacturing Sector Plan.

Webinar 2: Exploring the Roadmap in Depth

Building on the introductory session, this second webinar will take a deeper look at the UK Metamaterials Commercialisation Roadmap and explore its recommendations across five key areas: ecosystem, innovation, manufacturing and scale-up, assurance, and skills.

Hear from contributors involved in developing the roadmap as they discuss the priorities, challenges and opportunities identified through the roadmapping process. The session will provide an opportunity to explore the recommendations in greater depth, ask questions and discuss what is needed to support the commercialisation of metamaterials and strengthen UK industrial capability.
