Better Together: Spotlight on Pro Bono in York

Join the Yorkshire Pro Bono Committee on their latest stop "on tour" in York for Pro Bono Week 2026.

Hosted by York St John University at King's Manor in the heart of York city centre, this roundtable discussion will explore the current pro bono landscape across the York city region and opportunities for future growth.

The YPBC will be bringing together representatives from the legal profession, universities, voluntary and community organisations, and other key stakeholders, the event will provide an opportunity to share insights, showcase existing activity, and discuss how pro bono provision can be further developed through collaboration.

Together, attendees will explore how stronger cross-sector partnerships can help meet local need and improve access to justice across the Yorkshire region.

The Yorkshire Pro Bono Committee looks forward to welcoming both familiar and new faces to King's Manor for what promises to be a valuable and engaging discussion on the future of pro bono across the York city region. They would also be delighted to welcome students from across the City who are interested in learning more about the interaction between the legal and advice sectors.
