Optimising alternative fuel and raw material handling in modern cement plants

As cement producers increase the use of alternative fuels (AF) and alternative raw materials (ARM) to reduce CO₂ emissions, the reliable handling of increasingly diverse and challenging materials becomes critical. This presentation explores practical approaches to improving material reception, storage, conveying, sampling, dosing and feeding across the complete handling process.

Drawing on recent projects delivered by BEUMER Group, attendees will learn how technologies such as the BG OptiBin MF moving floor, BG OptiMac automated crane and BG OptiAsic sampling systems can help improve operational reliability, material flexibility and process control. Real-world case studies from the Czech Republic and Indonesia will demonstrate how demanding materials such as wood chips, SRF and shredded waste can be integrated successfully into daily plant operations while supporting decarbonisation objectives.
