Transaction Reporting Reform: An update with the FCA
|The FCA’s new Policy Statement, PS26/15 – Improving the UK Transaction Reporting Regime, is the most significant change to UK transaction reporting since the regime was introduced.
Join us on Thursday 10 September at 11.00am BST for a timely discussion with the FCA on what the reforms mean for firms, how the new rules will be implemented, and the wider direction of travel across trade and transaction reporting.
We will be joined by Richard Kind, Technical Specialist in the FCA’s Transaction & Position Reporting Team, who will share the regulator’s perspective on the MiFID policy changes and the wider work underway to simplify and harmonise trade and transaction reporting across regimes including EMIR and SFTR.
Hosted by Tim Hartley, a member of the Transaction and Post-trade Reporting Harmonisation Taskforce, the session will also feature Matthew Vincent, Managing Director and MiFID expert at Kaizen.
Together, they will:
- outline the key changes set out in the FCA Policy Statement
- explore what the reforms mean in practice for reporting firms including what firms can change now
- discuss the ambitions of the Transaction and Post-trade Reporting Harmonisation Taskforce
- examine the implications of ESMA’s Final Report on the Call for Evidence
- consider the wider direction of travel across trade and transaction reporting.
The session will also give firms the opportunity to put their questions directly to the FCA.
We hope you can join us for an important and practical discussion on the next phase of transaction reporting reform.
